Travel Grants for Students

With the generous support from the U.S. National Science Foundation, HOST 2017 is offering travel grants for full-time students from U.S. universities to attend the symposium and offset the costs of registration (both symposium and up to two tutorials), transportation, and lodging. The size and number of these grants will depend on the available funds, the number of student applicants, and their respective estimated travel expenses. Grant awards will be announcemed before the early registration deadline; expenses will be reimbursed after the symposium; grant recipients must submit original receipts to verify their expenditures, and they are also required to submit one paragraph describing their experience or their favorite paper in HOST 2017. Priority will be given to those who will play a more active role in HOST 2017. Students in under-represented groups are encouraged to apply. Childcare support may also be provided for parents traveling with child under age one.
