HOST 2020 | IEEE International Symposium on Hardware Oriented Security and Trust

HOST 2020 Travel Grants for Students

IEEE International Symposium on Hardware Oriented Security and Trust (HOST) is the premier event in the overlapping area between hardware and cyber security. HOST has large participation (40-50%) from industry and government, and provides an excellent opportunity for students to learn, network, and find internship opportunities. Due to Covid-19, HOST 2020 will now take place virtually on December 7-11, 2020.

With the generous support from the U.S. National Science Foundation (NSF), HOST 2020 is offering travel grants for full-time students from U.S. universities to (virtually) attend the symposium and/or its associated tutorials. With the generous support of our industry sponsors, travel grants for students from universities outside the U.S. will be available but limited.

Please be aware of the following rules:

  1. The applicant must be a full-time student, either high school, undergraduate, or graduate, enrolled in U.S. institutions by the time of HOST 2020.
  2. The travel grant recipients will receive support for author paper fee (if applicable), virtual event registration, and tutorial registration.
  3. To apply, please complete the form at https://forms.gle/Razs2UAA4E1z7ksS8 by October 1, 2020. The information that we collect is required by NSF and/or for the purpose of reimbursement.
  4. All travel grant recipients will be required to submit one paragraph describing their experience or their favorite paper at HOST 2020..

NOTE: If you already received the HOST 2020 Travel Grant in the Spring, you DO NOT need to apply again.

Send your questions to the HOST 2020 General Chair Domenic Forte (dforte at ece.ufl.edu)) and Student Travel Grant Committee Chair Yier Jin (yier.jin at ece.ufl.edu).
