Bio: Dr. Apostol Vassilev is the Research Lead in the Security Testing Validation & Measurement Group at NIST. He leads research in testing methodologies and standards for cryptographic implementations and works with industry, academia and government agencies to develop and promote better cybersecurity testing and measurement.

Dr. Vassilev holds a Ph.D. in Mathematics from Texas A&M University. He holds six US patents and has authored over thirty scientific papers.
